PDP Donates N1 Million To Winners Of The Maiden Edition Of The Umbrella Business Quest

Winners of the maiden Umbrella Business Quest, a radio program that seeks to identify entrepreneurs with sound business ideas and support them with start up capital have been presented with their cheques .

Presenting the cheques, State Chairman of the PDP, Obong Ekpo, congratulated the winners and charged them to make judicious use of the money to grow their business. Obong Ekpo thanked Governor Udom Emmanuel for his leadership and support for the party, describing the development as a new paradigm for party administration, which gives rather than receive money from his people.

He commended the publicity Secretariat of the party led by the State Publicity Secretary, Barrister Ini Ememobong for the transparency of the entire process and pledged continued support of the party for the business quest,expressing optimism that, the programme with produce more business moguls in the state.

Responding, the winners in their different submissions thanked God for the reality of the day and poured their immeasurable gratitude to the PDP for making their dreams a reality.

Highpoint of the event was the presentation of the Umbrella Business Icon Award to Mr Eyoh Akpan Umoh of The Eyo Tailorings, who has run his business consistently for 38 years as well as the presentation of cheques to Mr Matthew Akpan, the first price winner, Miss Regina Ita, the second and Mrs Edidiong Asuqo, the third price winner.
Two other contestants smiled home with consolation prizes of fifty thousand Naira, sponsored by, the Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Ini Essien and his Housing, urban Renewal and special duties counterpart, Mr Akan Okon.
