Last Respect: PDP Honours Udo Ekpenyong
… As Casket Arrives Party Secretariat
The Akwa Ibom State leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has paid last respect to the departed state chairman of the party, Obong (Hon) Udo Ekpenyong, Friday morning, at the state secretariat of the party in Atan Offot, Uyo.
In a brief service officiated by the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District Chairman of the party, Pastor Cletus Eshiet, the state leadership of the party, paid last respect to the departed chairman. Receiving the casket on behalf of the party, the Acting State Chairman of PDP, Rt. Hon. Lawrence Udosen, adorned it with the flag of the party, saying it is a mark of solidarity and honour to the late Obong Ekpenyong. He prayed against the recurrence of such sad incident in the deceased family, the party and the state. He also prayed God to grant the mourners the fortitude to bear the loss. A minute silence was also observed in his honour.
The motorcade conveying the late Ekpenyong’s casket, departed the party secretariat to his home town Ikot Oku Usung, Ukanafun Local Government Area, where the funeral service is billed to hold
