… As Fed. Constituency Pledges flawless Victory for PDP in 2023

The Akwa Ibom State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Rt. Hon. (Elder) Aniekan Akpan, has tasked stakeholders and faithful of the party in Itu/Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency and members of the party in the state to unite and maintain a high level of support in positioning the party to clinch victory in the state come 2023.

Giving the admonition in Mbak, headquarters of Itu LGA, Tuesday March 22, the party chairman who appreciated the efforts of Itu/Ibiono Federal Constituency in sustaining the reach and victory of PDP in the state, noted that for the party to retain victory in the state, only unity and peace will guarantee a common front for the party to meet its 2023 goals.

“We came to say that the party appreciates what you have done, what you did in the past and what you will do for PDP.”

“We are here to encourage you to stay together. There is need for us to stay together and be united so that we can continue to win. As we have been saying, the party is open and the umbrella is big enough to accommodate everyone. Our kind of politicking is like a family game and as a family, we will win together”, Akpan said.

Leaders of the federal constituency who relayed the position of the stakeholders and party faithful, expressed readiness to keep up with the high level of support for PDP, holding that the area is known for leading the chart in votes turn out for the party.

The State Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong, while making remarks at the stakeholders engagement, told the state party delegation that there is no point asking for support from Itu/Ibiono Federal Constituency as the area is traditionally a PDP stronghold.

“You don’t have to bother about the support base in Itu/Ibiono Federal Constituency because by tradition, we are steadily in place for PDP. Once moreour party produces a candidate, Itu and Ibiono Ibom will queue behind and lend the usual massive support.”

Comrade Ememobong reminded the party that Itu/Ibiono has always given PDP the most number of votes in the state and by 2023, that record will not change.

Aligning his position with other stakeholders of the federal constituency, the immediate past Commissioner for Economic Development & Ibom Deep Seaport, Mr Akan Okon who thanked the state party chair for his peaceful disposition, pointed that Itu and Ibiono Ibom are intact for PDP.
