IKOT EKPENE, NSIT IBOM, IBENO PDP STAKEHOLDERS MOURN UDO EKPENYONG’S DEMISE
…As Gov. Emmanuel’s Aides register condolences
Stakeholders from Ikot Ekpene, Nsit Ibom and Ibeno Local Government Areas have commiserated with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Akwa Ibom State, on the loss of the State Chairman, Obong (Hon.) Udo Ekpenyong, expressing grief over what they described as colossal loss for the state.
In their separate speeches, leaders of the three delegations; member of National Board of Trustees of PDP, Senator Emmanuel Ibokessien, member representing Nsit Ibom in the state legislature, Hon. Ifiok Udoh and the State Commissioner for Special Duties, Rt. Hon. Okpolupm Ette, while conveying their various condolences, agreed on the sterling traits of the late Obong Ekpenyong.
The Stakeholders who made a case for the immortalization of the departed Chairman, urged party faithfuls to honour the late Party helmsman by staying strong, united and victorious in the pursuit of political growth of the state.
In a related development, Aides to Governor Udom Emmanuel have also registered their condolences with the umbrella party over the death of Obong Udo Ekpenyong.
The Dean, College of Personal Aides to the Governor (COPA) and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Technical Matters & Due Process, Elder Ufot Ebong while delivering the condolence message on behalf of the delegation, described Obong Ekpenyong as ”hardworking and enterprising party chairman who was committed to the success of the completion agenda of Gov Emmanuel”.
He prayed God to console the party and the deceased family.
The Acting State Chairman of PDP, Hon. Lawrence Udosen, who received the delegations, expressed happiness over the honour shown the late chairman by key stakeholders and members of the party.
He stated that the party in Akwa Ibom State will honour late Obong Ekpenyong by winning future elections in the state, adding that Udo Ekpenyong was a man of victory .
Meanwhile, delegations from Etim Ekpo, Ibesikpo Asutan, Mkpat Enin, Nsit Ubium and former PDP state Executive Committee members, are billed for condolences visitations on Wednesday February 17, 2021.
