AKWA IBOM TO LEAD PDP RENAISSANCE

The commitment of the Akwa Ibom State Chapter of Peoples Democratic Party to lead Nigeria’s drive to true democracy and mandate delivery was over the weekend brought to fore at the South-South zonal congress of the party which held in Port Harcourt.

Goodwill messages from leaders across the zone saw party stakeholders including the Deputy National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, commending Governor Udom Emmanuel’s administrative prowess, while describing as plausible the return of Obong Paul Ekpo.

Delegates from the State, including the Senate Minority Leader, Chief Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the State Assembly Barr. Onofiok Luke and out-gone Zonal Publicity Secretary Barr. Imowo Okpokpo featured prominently to affirm the state’s undoubted commitment to the ideals of the party.

The event which had all PDP governors from the zone in attendance ended with the elections of new zonal executives for the party with Bishop Etim Ante and Hon. Monday Akpan as publicity secretary and ex-officio member respectively.
