Achievements Of Idorenyin Raphael, SA On Trade And Market Matters


The Special Assistant to the Governor on Trade and Market Matters, Akparawa Idorenyin Raphael has initiated programmes that have strengthened the relationship between traders in the state and the administration of Gov. Udom Emmanuel.

Bus Donated By the State Government to Traders in the State

Recently, the governor’s aide led executive members of Akwa Ibom Traders Cooperative on a tour of markets across the state to flag off the enforcement of free ticket on Thursdays in all the markets in Akwa Ibom. He has also embarked on familiarization tour of markets in the state.

Some of the markets visited by Akparawa Raphael and his team include Mkpoho-Eto, Ika Local Government Area; Otor, Ikot Ekpene; Nung Udoe, Ibesikpo Asutan; Ikot Mbang, Ibiono Ibom; Ekpo Nnwa, Nsit Ibom; Edet, Ikono and Ukanafun.

He has also carried out enlightenment programme on fake and substandard drugs in the market and mounted seminars for bread bakers and conventional products manufacturers.

Speaking with The Scroll recently, Akparawa Raphael lauded Gov. Emmanuel for the appointment, adding that it would have been practically impossible for him to do anything if he was not given the opportunity to serve. He assured the governor and all the traders in the state that he would notdisappoint them in the discharge of his duties.

The governor’s aide also assured his boss of the continuous support of the traders in the state to his administration and commended him for the donation of a bus to traders.

In all the markets visited, the governor’s aide in his address called on the traders to continue to support Gov. Emmanuel and assured that the governor is poised to do more for them.
