Uyo PDP Urban Ward 5 Reaffirms Total Support for Gov. Udom Emmanuel 2nd Term

As the race towards who occupies the Akwa Ibom State Government House come 2019 hots up, the Uyo Peoples Democratic Party Urban Ward 5 has avowed to support Governor Udom in 2019.
Speaking during an enlarged meeting of the Ward in Mbak Etoi yesterday, The former leader of Uyo Legislature and Special Assistant to Governor on Projects, Hon. Anietie Eka stated that the people cannot be distracted from supporting the Governor Udom Emmanuel’s reelection.
According to him, “some people are boosting that they want to take over the administration of Akwa Ibom State in 2019. It is practically impossible. There is no vacancy in Government house till 2023.
APC cannot be allowed to govern Akwa Ibom. We know their antecedents; the first time Nigeria went into recession was during Buhari’s regime as head of state and now as president of Nigeria. Some of our frustrated politicians in APC who are boosting have no traceable pedigree. What did they do during their tenure?Akwaibomites deserve industrialization and good governance which is what Udom symbolize.
“I want to reassure you that Governor Udom is not deviating from his promises. He is boldly and impeccably working to affirmed all his promises to Akwa Ibom people.
The administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel has recorded distinct trade marks ranging from youths engagement, skill acquisition training and empowerment, industrial and infrastructural development of which many are functioning. A walk through the state will convince your perception on the Governor’s activities and decelerated pace in developing the state.
“Our Governor as a party faithful understands the tenets that guides the Party. He has given jobs to the party faithful. Stretching out the olive branch to aggrieved politicians is a brazen symbolism that Governor Udom is truly keen in fulfilling on his campaign promises with the very best yet to be recorded,” he added
The Ward Chairman, Mr. Utibe Ibanga charged the people of Ward 5 to get themselves enrolled in the ongoing voters Registration exercise in view of voting Governor Udom back come 2019.
Present at the meeting were Hon. Anietie Eka Special Assistant to Governor on Projects, Mr. David Linus PA to the Governor, Obong Joe Umoetuk, Party Elder and Chapter Officer, Uyo PDP Chapter representative Hon. Joseph Peters, former Transition members Hon. Donatus Udoh and Prince Obot James, Ward Chairman, Mr. Utibe Ibanga PDP ward Executive, former Councillors, Hon. Mfon Offiong, Chairman Uyo Chapter Youth Caucus Hon. Idorenyin Umoh, youth council leaders, Elder statemen, Supervisor in Uyo LG, the Women of the ward led by the woman leader of the ward, Mrs. Eno Eyo Elders, Youths among others.
The ward members are in total support of our dear Governor, His Excellency Mr Udom Emmanuel, they have unanimously agreed to mobilize more people from the ward and beyond to go out and register for their voters card in view of returning Governor Udom Emmanuel for second term in office come 2019.
