PDP Commiserates With Gov Udom And The People Of Akwa Ibom State On The Tragic Collapse Of Reigners Bible Church

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has condoled with Governor Udom Emmanuel and the entire people of Akwa Ibom State on the collapse of Reigner Bible Church Building in Uyo.

In a release signed by Prince Dayo Adeyeye, the National Publicity Secretary of the Party and made available to newsmen, the party stated thus:

“The Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on behalf of the entire PDP family condoles with the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel and the entire people of the State on the sudden demise of his Protocol Officer, Mr. Ernest Idem and some other members of Reigners Bible Church in Uyo, the State capital.

2. Nigerians will recall that during the Enthronement Ceremony of one of the Bishops of the Reigners Bible Church, Dr. Akan Weeks on Saturday, December 10, 2016, the Church Building collapsed killing one of the protocol officers of Governor Udom and many Church members. Our condolence also goes to all the families that lost their loved ones in the tragic incidence.

3. We pray for the souls of the faithful departed rest in the bosom of the lord, Amen. The Lord gives and He takes, we believe only the Almighty knows and understand the reason behind the incidence.

4. We call on Governor Udom to take heart and be strong as the Father of the State; and continue to deliver on his developmental programmes and policies of uplifting the living standard of the people of his dear State, Akwa Ibom.
