Mkpat Enin Declare Support For Gov. Udom Emmanuel’s Second Term

The people of Ibiaku Clan in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area have unanimously pledge their unflinching resolve to support the Second term ambition of His Excellency, Deacon Udom Emmanuel in 2019.

The people made the pledge through a motion moved by the PDP Chapter Chairman of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, Hon Anietie Sunday during the 2017 General Assembly of Ibaiku Development Union held yesterday at Asan Ibiaku, Ikot Ebak, Mkpat Enin Local Government Area.

The PDP boss, an indigene of the Clan, urged all Sons and Daughters of Ibiaku to rally round Deacon Udom Emmanuel for him to successfully complete his first four years and also realise his second term ambition, stating that the Governor has performed superlatively since he assumed office few years ago and as such deserved to be reelected to complete his good work.

Hon Sunday praised Governor Udom for bringing developmental Projects to Mkpat Enin Local Government, which he said has helped open up the area for investment and create jobs for youths of the area.

“Today, Mkpat Enin can boast of several completed and ongoing Projects initiated by the present administration. Our clan, Ibiaku are equally proud because we have not been left behind by His Excellency, as such, as a people we are appreciative of the achievements of the Governor and of course the best to show this is by supporting him in 2019. With the approval of the elders and stakeholders of Ibiaku Clan, I hereby move that we the entire Ibiaku people in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area comprising of three Wards will stand with the Governor in 2019 and ensure that Deacon Udom Emmanuel is reelected as the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, I so move”

The motion was greeted with a loud and resounding acceptance by the large crowd present at the event who clapped and echoed in agreement to the motion.

Also extolling the achievements if the Governor, the immediate past Council Boss of Mkpat Enin, Hon Ephraim Akpan while seconding the motion validly moved by the Chapter PDP Chairman for the reelection of the Governor, described Deacon Udom as a promise keeper who has delivered on his campaign promises despite the paucity of funds in the country.

He stressed that the people of Ibiaku Clan and indeed the entire Mkpat Enin people has no option but to support the Governor in 2019 because he has shown genuine desire to develop all parts of the State.

Hon Akpan charged those present at the occasion to mobilise their friends and neighbours to vote for Governor Udom in 2019, so that he can continue the good works has been doing.

Dignitaries present at the event include, Prof. Monsignor Iniobong Udoidem, Hon Emmanuel Inyang, Apostle John Okoriko, Hon Ekaette Philip, Hon. Emmanuel Ukofia the Clan Head of Ibiaku HRH Etebom Ime Okon, Youth Presidents from all the Villages that make the Clan, past and present political office holders from the Clan, Village Heads, Family Heads, women and a host of others.
