…As Governor Emmanuel lays foundation for Ultramodern General Hospital in Ibiono Ibom.
Earlier today, Elders, Stakeholders, leaders, Party faithful from the Peoples Democratic Party as well as indigenes of Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area across diverse callings gathered in Ibiono Ibom to witness the historic turning of sod to signal the commencement of the construction of General Hospital in the area by His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel.
Shortly before turning the sod for the project, Akwa Ibom State Governor Mr Udom Emmanuel had said the commencement of the General Hospital Project was in fulfilment of the pledge he made to Ibiono Ibom people during the 38th Triennial Convention of the Ibiono Ibom Welfare and Development Union, IWADU that his administration will site a General Hospital in Ibiono Ibom within the shortest possible time.
Governor Udom Emmanuel who was represented at the event by the Commissioner for Health, Prof. Augustine Umoh said the hospital which will be fully equipped will be completed within the lifespan of the present administration.
He thanked the people of Ibiono Ibom for their continued support and goodwill for his administration, pledging that under his administration, Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area will continue to enjoy an enviable status as location to strategic projects like the State-of-the-art Dakadda Skills Acquisition Centre which is to be inaugurated in a few months time.
Indigenes of Ibiono Ibom across diverse segments of the population in their goodwill messages were full of appreciation to the Governor Udom Emmanuel-led administration for making good his promise to commence the General Hospital Project, pledging that the appreciation of Ibiono Ibom people will be demonstrated to the Governor by supporting his Completion Agenda as well as massively voting for candidates of the PDP in the forthcoming elections in 2023.
